Biometrics is rapidly transforming the world of security and digital identification, and being part of this technological advancement is one of our main commitments at ID Vision Center . That is why we are proud to have been part of the International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 2024) , a world-renowned event that brings together the best specialists and organizations in biometrics.
IJCB 2024 , held from 15-18 September in Buffalo, New York, is a key platform to present pioneering research, discuss current challenges and explore the latest innovations in the field of biometrics. This conference brings together universities, research centres and companies that are at the forefront of developing secure identification and fraud detection solutions.
At ID Vision Center , we remain committed to advancing biometrics and fighting fraud. This is why we are proud to have participated alongside two members of our team; Carlos Aravena and Daniel Schulz, who represented our R&D center. During the event, we competed in two of the conference's featured challenges:
1. LivFace Det 2024 :
This international challenge tests the ability of biometric systems to detect Presentation Attacks (PAD) in facial recognition. Our team presented one of the most advanced models we have developed, demonstrating its ability to distinguish between bona fide images and presentation attacks (real and fake faces), with a focus on continuous improvement of accuracy and security. These types of research are critical to strengthening the integrity of identity verification systems in the real world.
2. First PAD Competition in ID Cards :
In this competition, teams were asked to evaluate algorithms for detecting fraud in identity documents. Our algorithm, specifically designed to analyse the authenticity of ID cards, competed with proposals from various countries, proving its robustness in the most rigorous tests. The ability to detect presentation attacks (fake documents) is essential for border control, the issuance of identity documents and the protection of personal data.
A commitment to research and safety
Our participation in these international challenges reaffirms our commitment to research and development in biometrics, positioning us as leaders in the implementation of innovative solutions for fraud detection. At ID Vision Center , we continue to invest in the creation of advanced technologies that not only address current problems, but also anticipate the needs of the future.
We are convinced that advances in biometrics, such as those we are showcasing at IJCB 2024 , will play a crucial role in creating a safer world. We remain focused on improving the accuracy of our solutions, with the aim of setting new global security standards.
